Capturing the moment

We have had some lovely weather recently and a morning last week was one such occasion – a misty, still morning, a few clouds, still water and some rowers passing by at the right moment!

Taken by the river stour in Wimborne.

I feel like I am continuing to grow as a photographer and every now and then create an image that I feel particularly proud of. This image is one such case.

I actually nearly over looked this photo in it’s original guise but when I looked at it a bit more I thought it had something. I then processed it and gave it this look and feel which felt right.

Low Tide

We had a walk around St Aldhelm’s Head and then down to Chapmans Pool last weekend. It was a blustery day but the sun was out which more than made up for the wind.

This is a HDR (High Dynamic Range) photo taken down in Chapmans Pool. It has then been processed in Lightroom 5. This has included some dodging and burning to give the image some punch and additional interest.
